Date: 27th November 2025Time: 2:30pm - 5pm
Location: The University of Melbourne
Join us for an afternoon to explore the often-daunting and unpredictable world of grants and funding. The SHAPE Futures 2025 Convention will provide SHAPE EMCRs with the opportunity to discuss, as a community, the realities of building a sustainable research career while sharing practical strategies and hearing honest accounts from those who have “been there”. You’ll gain insight into movements underway in research funding in Australia and beyond; hear from colleagues who have navigated different funding pathways; and take away ideas to strengthen your own approach. The Convention will be followed by a complementary catered networking event where you will get the opportunity to connect with peers who, like you, are trying to make sense of an ever-shifting funding terrain.
Register for all or some of the day:
2:30 – 4:00 pm: Keynote panel (Jim Potter Room)
